making everything revert south

you oversee, upon a rainbow
expecting a lie,
listening
silence, peace and mutterings
making everyone rest silently
count upwards, nine, ten, sixteen
counting upwards, never the same

this first one is called "The Message"

gradually fading,
yearning overtly upon a reclusive expanse,
tide's high, it's catching knives,
aware nor deserving,
sitting tired upon penitent ideas,
dwelling

in time, hatred it numbs
kneel your ousted usurped self
hold on, upon lazy days
jesters up sticks to fight
uphold creed, knives of fire flash
cowering under night's terror

nothing untold, nothing outdone
secrets unspoken, concealed knives shone
great fear singes conscience,
onward, countless knives fight omnipotence
rearward movement oppressing night
everyone yearning, forced out of light
