I probably shouldn't admit this but I was listening to Radio 2 yesterday and they were running an april fools joke that the gov. had suggested that instead of us joining the Euro, France and Germany had agreed in a proposal to join the Pound in the next few years....
Then they fielded alot of callers saying how much of a good idead it would be to do that, and how the nation would be much more behind it....."hang on a minute, why dont we just call the Euro the Pound, then we can be in charge of those bloody Europeans" said in a very upper-class cliche' accent.

Do these people have ANY idea of the world outised of their million pound inhertited masion.... racist,discriminative, pig-headed wankers I say.

i dunno, on scotland today yesterday the joke was that to battle binge drinking in scotland they were going to outlaw drinking in pubs on a monday. and they had people really believing it. ('twas funny) but i wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those radio people were real.
