Christmas is coming!!

Teehee! My mother has already asked if I want anything this year, if and when I will be coming home, if my boyfriend is joining us, and even what she can cook for me (vegetarian and all that)...

Its making me feel all festive. haha.

Haha insane, it's only October! Once September is out of the way the world goes Christmas crazy. Last year at work the decorations went up in September and came down on Boxing Day!

I've also been asked what I want for Christmas. Bloody silly. No-one should be worrying about Christmas until a good bit into December

here there's no sign of christmas. everyone is waiting for halloween even if it's not an italian festivity.
i think it's better to buy the presents in advance so you won't be shopping when the streets are too crowded and prices are higher.

Our town is full of assorted Christmas and Halloween junk.

I think celebrating such festivals should be banned until at least the month in which they occur.

By the time Christmas arrives everyones sick to death of it and just wants it to be over.

One of the bigger supermarkets here is always really early to get out the Christmas stuff. The latest you can buy Christmas related sweets and cookies there is mid August. To say that's crazy would be a slight understatement.

well I still say "bah, humbug"

although this christmas is likely to be as relaxing as last year. Getting the pool pump fixed tomorrow so it's all nice and ready for summer, and xmas day will be spent by the pool, in the sun, with animals cooking on the fire, and a fridge full of ice cold stubbies to keep me cool.

love christmas in summer. it rocks.

Christmas is such an anti-climax. Last year I stressed for ages over finances, agonising over what presents to by (particularly for my boyfriend at the time, grrr), the stress of January exams hanging over my head, the stress of my parents, especially my Mum, and working over the festive period. To top it all off it's my birthday (yep, I am a Christmas day baby) and last year it was my 18th, which turned out to be crap because 1.no-one except your family are prepared to celebrate your birthday and 2.your'e simply swepped up in the stress of Christmas so you don't end up enjoying it.
Rant over.

This year I'm determined it will be different. There's no expectation to buy people presents due to me now being a student, which therefore means I have no money, so that's one stress off my shoulders. I'm not working in a shop either, so that's another stress gone. I'm just looking forward to seeing my family and friends, and having a nice 19th birthday.

I don't like thiking about the fine season just yet, but i have got a decision to make.

i usually make the effore and take a train to the kent coast on xmas eve to be with my folks. but this year with new house/mates, they want to do soamething. with their various family fuck ups and a hungarian housemate who can't afford to go home, they want a "friends" style christmas with huge amounts of food and alcohol. i'd consider if i could be Chandler and be useless and make bad jokes in the living room , otherwise...

there's gonna cum a time when i'm definitely not going to my folks at xmas, but this xmas i might be a bit sick of my housemates...
